With an active NSS Unit, the college collaborates on social projects, campaigns, and awareness programs to instill essential values among students. Promoting Cultural Values: Reflecting our commitment to the Indian heritage, the NSS Unit at K.M.S. College actively observes days of national importance, nurturing a sense of patriotism, appreciation for Indian culture, and a strong bond with our society and nation. Extension activities organized through NSS provide experiential learning to the students.
The College supports ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ the most significant cleanliness campaign by the Government of India evoking a sense of responsibility amongst students and the community through the Clean India Movement. District Hoshiarpur has been declared a backward district with most of the school children as first-generation learners. The college organizes crash courses for Career Guidance to the youngsters– a unique initiative by the College for aspiring students belonging to Govt. school students from class XII from lower income groups. The institution has developed a good rapport with the neighborhood by cleaning the villages and planting saplings. Cleanliness Drives: The college organizes cleanliness drives on various occasions at various places. This practice is both primary and regular. In addition to engaging in physical exercise, students also raised awareness of cleanliness in several public locations, such as Civil Hospital, Temples, Court Complex, Railway Station, etc.
Awareness Programs: The College has implemented many awareness programs, including those focused on AIDS or STDs, Environment Day, World Tobacco Day, Tree Plantation Programmes, and Voter Awareness Programme.
Blood Donation Camps: The College organizes blood donation camps on various occasions in collaboration with Civil Hospital Dasuya, Red Ribbon Club, IMA Blood Bank Hoshiarpur, and Rotary Club Dasuya.
Plastic Ban Campaign: Plastic is the greatest threat to the environment, to eradicate plastic and plastic ban the college is organizing a Plastic Pick up camp on the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October.
