A meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of College took place on 28-06-24 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the IQAC Room to discuss the following agenda:
Agenda: Discuss the recommendations from the NAAC peer team members regarding the Institutional Accreditation of KMS College of IT and Management Cycle 1 for the Quality Enhancement of the Institution.
• Outdoor sports and game facilities are to be developed and strengthened
• Faculty members should be encouraged to pursue PhD to enhance quality teaching learning and Research
• Need to go for 12(B) recognition of UGC to get grants
• Strengthening of career and counselling centre and competitive examination preparation.
• Classroom facilities may be augmented with more emphasis on ICT facilities
• Perspective plan and quality enhancement Vision document be prepared on a regular basis
• Promote research culture in college
• Innovation and incubation centre must be strengthened
• More Academic linkages with industry and reputed national institutions for providing training and internship
• Install sanitary napkin vending and incinerator machine

Installation of Sanitary Napkin Incinerator and
Manual Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine
In response to the urgent recommendations provided by the NAAC peer team during their recent visit, KMS College of IT and Management took immediate action to enhance the hygiene facilities within the campus. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) held an urgent meeting to discuss the procurement and installation of a Sanitary Napkin Incinerator and a Manual Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine.
Following the discussions, the college promptly ordered the necessary equipment. I am pleased to report that both the Sanitary Napkin Incinerator and the Manual Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine have been successfully installed in the washroom.
These installations are a significant step forward in maintaining hygiene standards within the college, ensuring a comfortable and sanitary environment for all staff members. This initiative reflects our commitment to adhering to the quality assurance standards recommended by the NAAC and our dedication to the well-being of our college community.

KMS College of IT and Management ensures effective curriculum planning and delivery through various initiatives:
1. Course Attainment Level: To enhance the quality of education, academicians adopt the concept of attainment level to assess students’ proficiency levels. KMS College utilises this approach to evaluate students’ understanding and progress. Based on their assessed level, efforts are made to uplift them to the next proficiency level, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
2. Add-on Courses and Value-added Courses: In addition to the curriculum, KMS College provides a range of free add-on courses and free value-added courses to enhance student’s learning experience and skill set. Till this date, KMS College has provided a total of 384 free add-on courses and free value-added courses to its students. These courses cover diverse areas such as communication skills, computer proficiency, industry-specific certifications, and soft skills development. By integrating these courses into its curriculum, KMS College aims to equip students with holistic competencies that enhance their employability and career prospects.
3. Preparation of Competitive Exams: To prepare students for future career opportunities, KMS College conducts special classes to enhance the skills required for competitive exams.
These classes focus on honing students’ problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and time management techniques essential for success in various competitive exams. Preparation for competitive exams begins right from the beginning of student’s academic journey, ensuring they are well-prepared to excel in national and multinational competitive exams.

(A) Participation in India Skill Competition 2023 (launched by Govt. of India)
The India Skill Competition 2023 is setting a benchmark for fostering a skilled workforce in India. The active participation of students underscored the growing relevance of skills education in the country’s socio-economic landscape. Such initiatives are pivotal in positioning India as a global hub for skilled talent.
Total twenty eight (28) students from our institution registered as participants in this prestigious event under two specific sectors:
While the students could not proceed further in the competition, their participation underscored the value of hands-on learning and the pursuit of excellence. The India Skills Competition served as a catalyst for motivating them to refine their abilities, embrace challenges, and aim for greater achievements in their chosen fields.
Their journey is a stepping stone toward realizing their potential and contributing meaningfully to the country’s vision of a skilled and empowered youth.
